Tesla on FSD makes stressful cliffside reverse on Slovenia mountain road to let traffic pass

A video from Slovenia shows a Tesla using FSD Supervised while reversing beside a steep drop-off on a cramped mountain road so oncoming traffic could get through.

The clip captures a difficult, low-speed maneuver that many drivers would likely find stressful even with full control of the wheel.

Here's what to know

Jan Skočaj originally shared the scene on X, showing a maneuver on Mangart Saddle Road in Slovenia, a route that rises to about 6,742 feet (2,055 meters).

As the Robotic (@robotic) Instagram account described in a post, the road is known for narrow sections and sharp exposure along the edge.

The car moves backward toward the cliffside while a van and a motorcycle squeeze past it, and the driver's hands are off the wheel.

Even so, the scene should not be read as fully self-driving in the everyday sense. The post noted that FSD Supervised remains a driver-assistance feature, so a human driver is still expected to watch the road closely and be ready to take control immediately.
