Recent operations led to the detention of three Chinese nationals near Mission, Texas, who evaded border patrols after crossing into the U.S. Despite record-setting low numbers of border apprehensions, authorities continue to track and arrest migrants being smuggled into the interior, as well as intercept drug shipments.
A video shared by Texas DPS Lieutenant Chris Olivares highlights ongoing efforts by troopers, National Guardsmen, and Border Patrol agents, who are actively pursuing migrants using various tactics. In one instance, a mounted patrol team tracked migrants through dense brush in Duval County before apprehending two individuals with the help of K-9 units, and turning them over to Border Patrol.
