ERIE — The wait is almost over as the Jefferson Educational Society, a nonpartisan think tank headquartered in Erie, kicks off its signature fall speaker series, the Global Summit, on Tuesday, continuing through Nov. 19 and hosting over 25 speakers across 19 events.
New to the lineup since its initial announcement is Margaret Hoover, who will be hosting a Post Election Conversation on Nov. 17. Hoover is the host of PBS’ “Firing Line with Margaret Hoover,” and served in the White House under President George W. Bush, in the Department of Homeland Security, on Capitol Hill, and on two presidential campaigns. She is the president of American Unity Fund, a political organization focused on achieving full freedom and equality for LGBT Americans, and is a bestselling author whose written work has been published across multiple major national news outlets.
