Ella Bruccoleri and Dónal Finn are back for more of The Other Bennet Sister! In the upcoming Christmas Special, they’ll be joined by Ruth Jones, Tanya Reynolds and Laurie Davidson. And it continues the story of Bruccoleri’s Mary Bennet following the events of the first ten episodes.
To the delight of fans of Mary and her fiancé Tom, the latter played by Finn, Britbox shared a first look at the Christmas Special. In the featured image we see Mary and Tom having what looks like an intimate picnic. Mary is wearing bright colors and Tom looks dapper. And to make it better, they’re holding hands.
Last we left off, the tenth episode of the series saw Mary agreeing to wed Tom after a heartwarming confession. But with marriage comes a new identity and the question remains: who will Mary become as Mrs. Hayward after the journey she went through in the main mini-series to find herself?
Screenwriter Sarah Quintrell, who wrote nine of the ten episodes of the series, has written all three additional Christmas special episodes based on storylines by author Janice Hadlow.
