The Houston Dash on Sunday fired head coach Fabrice Gautrat and technical director Twila Kilgore on Sunday, after the National Women’s Soccer League team dropped its fourth consecutive game.
The Dash (7-12-5, 26 points) sit in 12th place, 11 points from a playoff spot with six matches remaining in the regular season.
A Dash press said that Gautrat and Kilgore will both “transition away from their current roles with the organization.”
Assistant coach Jaime Frias will serve as the team’s interim head coach for the remaining.
“Our conviction in this group has not wavered,” Dash president of women’s soccer Angela Hucles Mango said in a statement. “We believe in the quality of this team and its ability to succeed both this season and beyond.
