Hartford Yard Goats | Ryan Desantis/GettyImages Two Tigers top prospects are headed to the Arizona Fall League, a yearly prospect showcase usually reserved for the game's best. Kevin McGonigle and Max Anderson both represented the Tigers very well in 2025 (McGonigle was crowned AFL MVP), and Zyhir Hope and Bryce Rainer will try to carry on that legacy in 2026.
Hope has settled in well at Double-A Erie despite a quiet start that had some fans overreacting way too early. He's hitting .333 with a 1.015 OPS, three homers, 11 RBI, and three stolen bases in September.
Rainer returned to High-A West Michigan in late April after shoulder surgery cut his debut season short. He hit .271 with a .863 OPS, 18 homers, and 67 RBI in 95 games. With Max Clark's graduation, Hope and Rainer have moved into the Nos. 1 and 2 spots in Detroit's pipeline are are baseball's Nos. 27 and 47 prospects.
