Much like the New York Giants, the Tennessee Titans haven’t exactly had much on-field success over the past couple of seasons.
Heading into 2026, the Titans had the worst record in football over the previous two years at 6-28. That’s what we call in the biz: terrible. Who am I to talk? The G-Men went a whopping 7-27 over the same stretch, but this isn’t about them at the moment, so I digress.
All that losing landed Tennessee QB Cam Ward with the first overall pick in 2025 and WR Carnell Tate with the fourth overall pick a year later. It also brought a pair of former New York head coaches to Nashville: ex-Jets HC Robert Saleh and former Giants HC Brian Daboll. And apparently Daboll took one look at the roster he left behind in New York and decided, “I cannot and will not retool this thing without my former players.”
