Just two months after Page Six reported that Tom Cruise’s daughter Suri legally dropped “Cruise” from her name in 2024, the Top Gun actor graced the cover of GQ and sat down for a rare, in-depth interview. However, according to gossip columnist Rob Shuter, Cruise made it clear to the magazine that questions about his estrangement from Suri, 20, were strictly off-limits.
“Everyone understood the rules,” an insider told Shuter’s Naughty But Nice. “Movies, stunts, ambition — ask away. Suri? Don’t even try. There was going to be no discussion about their estrangement or why she dropped Cruise from her name.”
The source added that Cruise gives the media “access” to his life and career, but only on his terms. “He’ll unbutton the shirt, talk about being intense and sell you the Tom Cruise fantasy,” they continued. “But the nipples stay covered, Suri stays off-limits, and Tom stays completely in control.”
