Total gaming revenue for casinos, racetracks, and their partners was $615.7 million in August 2026, down 4.1% from $642.2 million in August 2025, according to data from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.
Year-to-date total gaming revenue was $4.81 billion through August 2026, up 5.4% from $4.57 billion reported for the prior year-to-date period. Total gross revenue taxes were $81.5 million for August 2026 and $674.2 million year-to-date through August 2026.
“August, historically one of the strongest gross gaming revenue (GGR) months in the resort, did not set records in 2026,” said Brian Tyrrell, faculty director of the Lloyd D. Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality and Tourism (LIGHT), Stockton University School of Business. “While single-month, brick-and-mortar gross gaming revenue showed improvement over nine of the last 10 years, it did not outpace the record revenue realized in August 2025.”
Casino win for the nine casino hotels was $294.9 million for August 2026, down 5.5% from $311.9 million in August 2025. Year-to-date casino win was $2.01 billion through August 2026, up 1.8% from the prior year-to-date period.
