Getting the chance to explore new places, tuck into different cuisines and meeting the locals are all major reasons why many of us travel.
However, things can quickly turn sour if you’re having to deal with rude people while you’re trying to enjoy your break.
And some travellers reckon there’s more chance of this happening in certain destinations than others.
According to Jo Hayes, founder of EtiquetteExpert.org, there are some countries and cities that traveller believe stand out when it comes to being rude and standoffish.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, she dished the dirt on the least friendly places you might find.

Paris, France
Hayes told the publication that Paris, France, is ‘top of the list’ when it comes to being rude and unfriendly to tourists.
She pointed out that many locals will be particularly unimpressed if you don’t speak French and claimed that although most Parisians have a solid grasp of English they ‘many refuse to speak English, and appear annoyed that tourists don’t/can’t’.
Hayes went on to say that other regions in France may be a lot friendlier for visitors.
