WASHINGTON — President Trump publicly called Monday for an end to Russia’s war on Ukraine after a series of attacks by Kyiv on Moscow’s energy holdings triggered another spike in diesel fuel prices.
“Russia has unfortunately lost control of its Diesel Oil Industry due to its War with Ukraine,” the president posted on Truth Social.
“A large number of their Diesel refineries have been blown up and are, at least temporarily, out of commission,” the president went on. “This ridiculous and never ending War with Ukraine must be ended.

Trump decried the war in Ukraine’s impact on diesel prices, which have been rising rapidly in the US as he called for an end to the war. REUTERS “The whole World suffers as 25,000 people, mostly soldiers, are being killed each month. What a shame!”
Trump is scheduled to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly Tuesday. The US president has repeatedly called on Ukraine to stop long-range drone attacks on Russian oil facilities to allow the energy market to stabilize.
