Critics of Donald Trump couldn't contain their laughter Monday when the president was "yelling into the void" at a White House event because of the television press pool's response to his banning of three media outlets.
Trump's remarks were not amplified at Monday's ribbon cutting on a White House construction project because television press pool coverage of the president was suspended in response to him banning CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House press pool.
"So, there is no microphone because the pool cameras aren't there. So maybe ... this is one example of [the ban] backfiring just a little bit," said Newsmax host Bianca de la Garza while video of the event was shown by the network. "Obviously, the ramifications are right here. Can't hear what the president is saying."
Trump critics were cracking up at the president being virtually silenced.
