T'way Air has recently enhanced its pilot training capabilities with the installation of a certified Boeing 737-800 (B738) flight simulation device at its Seoul training center. Completed in July 2025 by FTD.aero, a Polish manufacturer, this Level 4 Flight Training Device (FTD) has received approval from Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, ensuring it meets national civil aviation standards.
Designed specifically for T'way Air's operational needs, the simulator offers realistic pilot training while emphasizing cost-effectiveness. It also allows for future upgrades aligned with the airline's expanding fleet. Since its deployment, flight crews and instructors have praised the simulator's high fidelity, user-friendliness, and the immersive training environment.
This project marks FTD.aero's ongoing global expansion and underscores its increasing influence in Asia's civil aviation training industry. The company will display its latest technologies at booth #501 during the upcoming Asia Pacific Airline Training Symposium (APATS) in Singapore on August 26–27, 2025.
