ATLANTA -- Navigating October baseball isn't always about perfection; sometimes it's simply about surviving the tight spots long enough for your team to finish the job.
Tyler Glasnow’s final line in Wednesday night’s NLDS Game 4 wasn't pristine. He walked five batters in 4 2/3 innings at Truist Park. Yet for a Dodgers club that secured a series-clinching 4-1 win over the Braves and moved another step deeper into October, his 78-pitch outing reinforced a central theme: Even on nights when his command slips, Glasnow gives this rotation a higher ceiling when run prevention matters most.
"When guys get on for me, especially this year, it's been kind of rough," Glasnow said. “I've been just trying to mix up my holds, be a little quicker to the plate and just kind of with how I felt tonight, it helped me navigate whatever you want to solve. So it was fun."
With Wednesday's victory, the Dodgers moved to 7-0 in Glasnow’s postseason appearances (four starts, three in relief). Despite the high walk count against Atlanta, he limited the damage to a single run and surrendered just one hit -- a soft ground-ball single -- to keep Los Angeles in control.
