Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton shared his thoughts on John Cena’s recent heel run and subsequent transition back to a fan-favorite character.

Cena's Transition Back to Hero

After nearly half a year portraying a villainous role—a departure from his usual persona—Cena reverted to his traditional heroic image during his Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam. Following his loss of the title, Cena embraced Rhodes, reaffirming his face status. Haliburton discussed Cena’s heel storyline during the debut episode of Self Made Sessions, revealing that he’s choosing to ignore the heel turn altogether.

Haliburton’s Perspective

"I was cool with it, but I’m glad we just moved past that and returned to him being a face," Haliburton stated. "I attended SummerSlam, and when the colors appeared, the crowd's reaction was incredible. I believe that Cena versus Cody was the best match I’ve ever seen live.
