Who's ready for Week 2!?
Before every UCLA football game this season, Jack and Connor will make spread picks and give one bold prediction each. In Week 1, Jack and Connor both hit their spread picks, and Jack nailed his bold prediction of Wayne Knight scoring two touchdowns (Knight ended up with three).
Here's what the duo thinks heading into the Bruins' second game of the season against San Diego State at the Rose Bowl.
Jack's pick and bold prediction:
UCLA -12.5: Polos, khakis, whatever. Give me UCLA -12.5 in a relatively comfortable win. I'm not looking past San Diego State by any means (they were picked to finish second in the Pac-12), but I just think this UCLA squad is that much better. Coming off their performance up in Berkeley, there's no reason the Bruins can't exert their will on both sides of the ball and get whatever they want from the Aztecs. That leads me to my bold prediction, where I really want to see the passing game and Nico Iamaleava hit their stride. Give me Aidan Mizell quadrupling his career receptions at UCLA, by hauling in at least four passes. I've been high on the Mizell train, and I won't let that hamstring injury deter me.
