Unsettled weather continues, cooler temperatures on the horizon next week

The chance for showers and storms continues today and into the weekend, with cooler temperatures incoming next week

It has been another unsettled day of weather across the Two Virginias, with scattered showers and storms ongoing since this morning. Temperatures this afternoon are currently sitting in the upper 70s for the most part, with a low 80s in a few spots. Additionally, dew points have remained pretty muggy and humid today, with dews in the upper 60s and low 70s across the region.

Looking at our Football Friday forecast, by 7:00 PM a small chance for an isolated shower or thunderstorm lingering will exist, before we dry out with increasing clouds around 9:00 PM. Temperatures will be in the upper 60s to low 70s. Moving overnight, temperatures will drop into the mid to upper 60s, with mostly cloudy skies across the region. Winds will remain calm.
