The United States is projected to welcome approximately 7,500 high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) in 2025, positioning it as the second most popular global destination for millionaire relocations, according to Business Insider. The top spot goes to the United Arab Emirates, with an estimated 9,800 HNWIs moving there, while Italy ranks third with around 3,600 newcomers. Overall, about 142,000 millionaires are expected to relocate worldwide in 2025, bringing significant investable assets. Conversely, the United Kingdom is experiencing the highest outflow of millionaires, with an anticipated loss of 16,500 wealthy individuals this year, followed by China and India. Industry experts, like Dominic Volek of Henley & Partners, attribute these trends to a growing perception among the wealthy that better opportunities, stability, and freedoms exist elsewhere.
