Vans has successfully launched a new version of its iconic Old Skool sneaker inspired by a renowned Chanel bag from over a decade ago. Following its initial rapid sell-out, the brand announces additional opportunities for consumers to purchase the limited-edition design.
The Vans Old Skool 36 “Souvenir” draws inspiration from the Chanel On the Pavement messenger bag introduced in 2014. The first colorway, which sold out quickly upon release, will be restocked through select third-party retailers. Additionally, a second color option is scheduled to launch in September.
Featuring a spray-painted upper, distressed tweed Jazz Stripe, decorative pins, and leather overlays, the sneaker offers two distinct colorways. The first showcases a greenish-brown and orange canvas with brown leather accents, while the upcoming version will present a more vibrant plum shade paired with black leather.
Vans openly acknowledged the design's inspiration, a rarity in collaborations between brands.
