Daisuke Sekimoto Revealed as Surprise Competitor in AJPW's 2025 Royal Road Tournament
During All Japan Pro-Wrestling's event on August 3rd, veteran wrestler Daisuke Sekimoto made his return to the ring. In a backstage interview, he announced that he would be the mysterious participant in the upcoming 2025 Royal Road tournament.
The tournament brackets, released prior to the event, included a surprising matchup for wrestler Rei Saito scheduled for August 24th. Sekimoto, who last competed for AJPW in January, had been absent from the ring due to an injury he sustained in May at a Big Japan show.
