Vicarious Surgical Appoints Stephen From as New CEO Vicarious Surgical has announced the appointment of Stephen From as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective August 7. Co-founder Adam Sachs will step down from his CEO role but will continue to contribute as company president and board member, as per the company's statement on Thursday. Mr. From brings over two decades of leadership experience in healthcare and finance. Most recently, he served as CEO of Aruna Bio, a biotech company focused on developing neural exosomes for neurodegenerative disease treatment. His prior roles include executive chairman at Kiora Pharmaceuticals, where he managed an IPO and multiple acquisitions; CFO at Centelion, a Sanofi-Aventis biotech subsidiary; and positions in investment banking specializing in life sciences. "His expertise and leadership align perfectly with our needs during this critical growth phase," Sachs remarked. In his new capacity as president, Sachs replaces Randy Clark, who resigned in April after a little over a year and now holds an executive role at Thermo Fisher Scientific.
