The BBC’s Executive Complaints Unit (ECU) has now ruled that discussing David’s allegedly leaked emails was within editorial guidelines. However, joke about Victoria was beyond their guidelines.
Ryan said, “I don’t know that we are allowed to broadcast the C-word. but you did reference Victoria Beckham earlier and we’ll allow that.”
Two viewers in the audience reportedly complained about Ryan’s joke. The BBC’s ECU ruled that the guidelines do not include explicitly avoiding causing an offense, but it must be justified. (via Metro )
