Vishwambhara eyes March 2027 release ahead of Rajamouli’s Varanasi
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s “Kaaka” is on track for a Sankranthi release, with no indication of a postponement so far. The film’s shooting is progressing at a brisk pace, with around 70 per cent of the work reportedly completed.
Director Bobby is working towards wrapping up the shoot in December and releasing the film on January 13, 2027. With roughly three months left before its scheduled arrival, a release for another Chiranjeevi film before “Kaaka” appears unlikely.
Last month, speculation was rife on social media and in film circles that “Vishwambhara”, Chiranjeevi’s socio-fantasy film directed by Vassisht, might arrive in theatres before “Kaaka”. Some reports even suggested that “Kaaka” could move out of the Sankranthi race.
However, March 2027 now appears to be a more practical release window for “Vishwambhara”. The makers are reportedly exploring a release around March 18, or possibly an earlier date.
The timing is important because SS Rajamouli’s “Varanasi” is scheduled to release on April 7, 2027. A March release would give “Vishwambhara” a reasonable theatrical window before the arrival of Rajamouli’s big-budge...
