Warm & sticky few days before strong cold front
High pressure building across the Gulf will keep things warm and breezy, with southerly winds bringing in increasing humidity over the next few days. We can expect warm days with a gradual increase in humidity.
A few isolated showers or thunderstorms could develop across Central Texas on Tuesday & Wednesday, but widespread rain isn’t expected. By Tuesday, it’ll feel more humid, with temperatures in the low to mid-90s and heat index values approaching 100 degrees. A few isolated showers or storms may develop to the southeast. By Wednesday, our next cold front will move into Texas and start to sink southward. There looks to be a band of heavy rain that sets up just to the north and west. Most of Central Texas will probably see half an inch of rain or less. Rain chances could linger into Friday morning, but then drier air takes over and clears out the rain just in time for Friday football and a gorgeous, Fall-feeling weekend. High temperatures behind the front look to stay in the low to mid 70s Saturday and Sunday.
