Union County Sheriff's Office says it is investigating a call at Weddington High School.
Until the investigation is over, students will not be released during dismissal.
The nature of the call has not been released however the sheriff's office asks parents and surrounding residents to remain calm and not spread misinformation.
Students will be released once deputies determine it's safe to do so, the sheriff's office said.
