Wendi McLendon-Covey is arguing against her Goldbergs co-star Jeff Garlin's claims that bipolar disorder made him difficult to work with on set.
Speaking on the Daily Beast's Obsessed podcast , Garlin spoke about his controversial exit from the show, as well as accusations that he was hard to work with during the peak years of The Goldbergs ' run on ABC.
As Garlin put it, he was struggling with an undiagnosed case of bipolar disorder that negatively affected his behavior while working on The Goldbergs.

"I was miserable on the show, and I was miserable with my performance. And she was always trying to tell me, 'Hey, you're really great on the show.' I didn't believe her. I just got to the point where I had to quit, and she was very resentful."
