Wenglor Sensoric Group has introduced the latest GM04 gloss sensors to expand its lineup of photoelectronic devices. These sensors are designed to accurately distinguish between matte and glossy surfaces, making them ideal for applications such as identifying clear labels or adhesive strips on packaging. They also facilitate consistent monitoring of paint and adhesive application processes, including drying stages.
The GM04 sensors offer versatile usage, featuring an adjustable gloss level to accommodate various materials. Their robust design ensures reliable operation even amid vibrations or object movements. Easy calibration is possible through a potentiometer, and the IO-Link interface enables rapid data communication. Compact in size (57.3 × 27 × 16 mm), the sensors provide stable object detection within a working distance of 5 to 40 mm. Their IP67 protection rating ensures resistance to dust and water, suitable for operating temperatures from –25°C to +60°C.
Key features include vibration resistance, adjustable gloss sensitivity via potentiometer, enhanced functionality with IO-Link 1.1, compact M-format design, a detection range of 5 to 40 mm, and IP67 protection for durabi...
