The late ‘Jolene’ singer’s longtime manager is taking her nephew to court less than a month after her death. Here’s what we know so far.
The fight over Dolly Parton ‘s legacy has landed in a Nashville courtroom. Her longtime manager, Danny Nozell , filed a lawsuit and a request for a temporary restraining order against her nephew Bryan Seaver on September 22, 2026, according to court documents obtained by TMZ . The filing came just one week after Danny fired Bryan from his role running security at Dolly’s properties .
Bryan, the son of Dolly’s sister Cassie Parton , guarded the country legend for more than two decades and was the family member she chose to announce her death on August 25, 2026. Now, he and the manager she trusted with her business are locked in a bitter legal battle.
