The Detroit Lions kick off Week 2 of the NFL season as head coach Dan Campbell’s group is set to travel to Western New York for a prime-time Thursday Night Football matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
Detroit and Buffalo are coming off wins in Week 1. The Lions defeated the New Orleans Saints in overtime despite blowing a 21-0 lead in the second half, while the Bills took down the Houston Texans behind a masterful performance from quarterback Josh Allen.
Though it’s early in the year, Thursday’s contest is a massive moment for both playoff-contending squads, and for the Lions to pull through with a tough road win, they’ll need wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa to come alive.
According to Pro Football Focus, TeSlaa played 32 passing snaps in Week 1 against the Saints and received just one target with no receptions. The Arkansas product had an up-and-down training camp and preseason and wasn’t effective in the opener.
