Wild Blue Cats Celebrates Success at CatFest 2025, Facilitating Adoptions and Raising Awareness
On July 26, the Norris Penrose Event Center hosted CatFest 2025, an event dedicated to cat adoption and community engagement. The festival resulted in 53 cats finding new, loving homes, while thousands more are supported through the efforts of Wild Blue Cats.
Wild Blue Cats, a Black Forest-based rescue organization established in 2010, focuses exclusively on feline rescue and advocacy. Originally rescuing various animals, the organization shifted its mission to prioritize cats after recognizing their underserved status in the community. Since then, they have expanded from rescuing 40 cats in their first year to assisting approximately 1,500 cats annually, impacting around 12,500 lives.
Committed to a no-kill philosophy for over seven years, Wild Blue Cats emphasizes providing cats with safe, loving environments, even for those with behavioral challenges. They often accept cats from other shelters, including the Humane Society, especially those scheduled for euthanasia but needing extra care.
