There’s a Wind Advisory in effect for today. The National Weather Service is warning about high winds gusting even higher. Sustained winds are expected between 20 and 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 miles per hour in the area.
Locally, the LC Valley is expected to see the highest gusts between 4pm and 1am, reaching 41 miles per hour at the storm’s strongest, between 6 and 10pm.
Anatone is predicted to get gusts up to 40 miles per hour around 7pm, tapering off by 4am.
Once the storm gets into Idaho, winds should be less severe. Orofino could see gusts around 30 miles per hour with sustained winds in the teens.
The Advisory lasts from 11am to 9pm today for eastern Washington and parts of north central Idaho.
