Fingerprinting and Publishing Inc. has recently acquired a group of five weekly newspapers serving Green Lake County in Wisconsin, including The Berlin Journal, Green Lake Reporter, Markesan Regional Reporter, Princeton Times-Republic, and Omro Herald. Additionally, the purchase encompasses The Billboard, a free weekly advertising publication, although specific financial details were not disclosed. Tom Finger, managing partner of Finger Printing and Publishing based in Black Earth, expressed enthusiasm about incorporating these newspapers into their portfolio, noting their alignment with existing publications. Currently, the company operates over 20 newspapers across Wisconsin, and its operations also extend to publishing travel guides and providing commercial printing services. The firm is managed by Ty Gonyo, son of the longtime leader Robert Gonyo.
