Bowling Green, KY — As WKU Soccer approaches its 25th anniversary, head coach Jason Neidell, along with seniors Maddie Davis and Rebecca Roth, shared insights ahead of the upcoming season.
In 2024, the team experienced its fewest wins in history, ending with a 3-8-5 record. Despite this, the squad, now with a significant influx of new players and experienced returners, is optimistic about making a strong comeback in Conference USA.
With the season opener at Ohio University just a week away, Coach Neidell emphasized how last year's challenges serve as motivation for improvement.
"This year's team is truly exciting," he stated. "After a season filled with regrets, I see players who have a chip on their shoulder and are eager to prove themselves. They believe in the program's potential and are motivated to achieve great things this season. We’ve added promising new talent, and there’s a lot of enthusiasm about what lies ahead."
