INDIANAPOLIS — A female was taken to the hospital after police found her with a gunshot would at a Citgo gas station parking lot at 4201 N. Emerson Ave.
According to IMPD, at about 1:30 p.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to check the welfare of a person at the east side gas station and found the female victim. Indianapolis emergency medical services took the victim to the hospital where she was reported to be awake and breathing.
Police on the scene said officers found the victim in a black Jeep Commander that had damage to its driver’s side tail light.

Police did not say what led to the shooting or release any information about a suspect.
