HOW IT HAPPENED: Clarkson scored two goals in a 1:21 span to lead 2-0 after the first period. Ciara Lang scored a power play goal at 6:49 to give the Golden Knights a 1-0 lead. Layla Matthew's goal at 7:30 of the opening frame gave Clarkson a 2-0 lead. Senior Addie Alvarez fired two of the Tigers seven shots on goal in the first period and junior goalie Brenna McNamara made 15 saves. Junior forward Zoe Ziotas scored 16:40 into the second period to cut Clarkson's lead to 2-1. She skated behind the Clarkson net and fired a wrist shot from the slot into the low corner for her first goal of the season.
