Word of God volleyball, in LHSAA debut season, hosts 5A West Monroe

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - For the last decade, Word of God Academy athletics competed in the Christian Educators of Louisiana (ACEL) against other programs who were in the “home school” league.

That changed this year, when the school made the jump to the LHSAA.

The Force volleyball team looks to soon develop into a program. With that, Head Coach Collin Bell has scheduled tough opponents in their debut season.

Coach Bell’s squad welcomed in 5A foe, West Monroe.

After the visiting Rebels took the first two sets, the Force won the third period. However, the visitors would prevail in the fourth and final set, winning 3-1.
