The Gold Rush (3-3, 1-1 SSAC) received votes in the most recent NAIA rankings, while Faulkner (6-2, 2-1 SSAC) checked in at No. 22. Thursday night, XULA kept the score close through much of the match. The Gold Rush trailed 1-0 at the half and were within 2 goals of the Eagles until the last 15 minutes of play. However, Faulkner's goals in the 5th, 59th, 74th, and 84th minutes were the difference. Gold Rush keeper Lenno Schmidt performed admirably, making 5 saves on the night while facing 9 shots on goal.
