Sidney, Iowa – Jacksonville's young team roper Jayse Tettenhorst achieved his most successful week to date in his professional career during recent Midwest rodeos. Specializing as a header, Tettenhorst teamed up with Belden Cox from Weatherford, a heeler, to secure $3,596 each at the Iowa Championship Rodeo in Sidney, Iowa. They also earned $1,072 at the Jayhawk Roundup held in Hill City, Kansas, on July 29-30. At the Iowa event, the duo finished second with a time of 5.3 seconds, while their 5.1-second run at the Kansas rodeo also placed them second overall. These performances mark Tettenhorst’s top results since his third-place finish at the Deep South PRCA Rodeo in Winnsboro, Louisiana, in late May.
