Yvonne R. (Joyal) Francis-Hart, 99, of North Smithfield, passed away Sept. 11, 2026.
She was the wife of the late James Francis and the late Melvin Hart. Born in West Warwick, she was one of ten children of the late Arthur and Mary (Lebeau) Joyal.
A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Gigi was a true fashionista in every sense of the word. She was a fun-loving woman whose greatest joys in life were spending daily jaunts with her daughter (she loved to shop) and visits to New Hampshire enjoying sitting by the pool. Gigi loved spending every moment she could with her grandchildren and great-granddaughters. She loved telling stories about her past, recounting memories about her childhood and family. Gigi will always be remembered for her warm smile that could light up a room. She had the kindest heart and gave her love freely to everyone around her.
Yvonne took pride in all she did. After many years in the jewelry industry, she retired from T. Sardelli & Sons in Cranston and went on to spend 20 years with the Foster Grandparent Program at North Smithfield Elementary School, where she was lovingly known as “Gramma Yvonne.”
