Ohio’s first Zaxbys restaurant will open its doors in Liberty Twp. by the end of November.
It will sit on a 1.2-acre site at 7111 Marion Way, in the 88.6-acre Freedom Pointe development, along Liberty Way, anchored by Costco.
Planned for the eatery that specializes in grilled chicken and salads, is a 2,900 square-foot, 56-seat restaurant with a drive through.
“We’re hoping it will be ready to open the week before Thanksgiving but we’re not sure,’’ said Brad Haller, Zaxbys’ franchisee.
“We are excited to open and bring something different to the area.”
The Atlanta-based Zaxbys was founded in 1990 and has 1,000-plus locations in 22 states.
Sporting a modern farmhouse look with a red, white and navy blue color scheme, finishing touches are being applied to the interior of the building.
Tile floor has been installed in the kitchen prep area at the back of the store. Kitchen equipment will be installed next week.
Polished concrete has been set in the dining room for easy cleanup, Haller said. Outside, grading work is finishing up, with asphalt and concrete to follow.
The menu features made to order salads and wings, along with chicken sandwiches, fingers, sauces, and milkshakes.
